It's Looking Like December

This was the view out my back door this morning.

And this is the view out the front door.
It's beautiful, isn't it? It's just barely cold enough to snow so it's the wet and heavy kind. It's not realy the first snow of the season. We got some last week, but it didn't stick around long. We actually have a winter storm warning. It's still coming down and we're supposed to get 3 or 4 more inches today. The schools are all closed. Later in the winter, 6 or 7 inches of snow won't even slow things down!!

Here's a scarf I knitted this weekend from yarn I had left over from my afghan. Just in time too!! It's cozy and warm, and I'll probably wear it later today when Honey and I go snow blow the driveway!!

Except for that, I plan on staying indoors today. It feels like a good day to make soup!!

Great looking scarf and it will come in handy for all that snow blowing. It does look like a winter wonderland right now....very pretty.

Yikes...it's beautiful. I only love the first snow and then things get messy.

To me here in Australia, the snow looks beautiful - would certainly make for staying indoors and stitching - just look out and see the beauty of it all!

I don't miss the snow but I remember well that cozy feeling of being tucked up in a warm house with the muffled sounds of the outside world fading away. Hope it doesn't get too cold for you!
Cheers Shari

It sure does look beautiful outside! I am not a fan of winter anymore, but appreciate the beauty of a fresh snow. I'm happy your sister is doing well. What an ordeal to go through! Your scarf and tree skirt turned out really cute.

What a beautiful scene. It has been an unusually warm fall at my place. Love the scarf!
